Speed Networking is designed as a fun and efficient way for local sustainable entrepreneurs to meet each other and form valuable business connections. Participants are assigned to one of four interest areas: green building, clean technology, green services and sustainable consumer products. Over the course of sixty minutes, participants meet briefly with each of the other participants in their interest area. After the end of each brief meeting, participants quickly alternate their seating arrangements to pair up with their next networking opportunity. This process will continue until all participants in an interest area have interacted with each other. In just a few minutes, participants will share business cards, history and offer new contacts valuable information about their business. Each interest area will include one or more Star speed networkers, successful sustainable entrepreneurs who are leaders in their field. After the structured speed networking event is over, participants are encouraged to continue networking during an open reception and to follow-up with their new contacts.
