Summer Research Grants |
| Abstract: |
The Center for the Study of the American South offers annual summer grants to encourage research in southern studies, broadly construed. Ranging to $1,500 for UNC graduate/professional students and up to $3,000 for UNC faculty, these stipends support summer research or other academic projects. Proposals are welcome from graduate/professional students and faculty in any discipline. Awards will be announced in late April. Students will receive funding in May. Faculty awards will be paid in June.
This year's summer research grants for faculty are dedicated to the development of the new Southern Studies curriculum. Faculty should email Center director Harry Watson at hwatson@email.unc.edu for information. |
